Animal Group Names! A Murder of Crows and a Parliment of Owls

My pal and I stumbled across some lists of animal group names and we were amused by their strangeness! I illustrated these two, and I think it might make a neat series.
A few more: A smack of jellyfish, a peep of chicks, a bloat of hippos, a shiver of sharks!

IF: Instinct

Whenever I hear the word "instinct" I think of Ron Burgundy from Anchorman saying "it's instinct!"

IF:Time

This week's subject was time. I decided to go back in time and find an illustration from the past that I felt strongly about. This one was for a class at Pratt, back in 2005! It's based on one ff my favorite books, "the Red Pony. I was experimenting a lot with collage and paint, but I ended up going back to my linework, which I think is stronger. Now if i do a collage it's completely separated from drawing. I 'd like to find a way to merge the two, but I haven't worked it out yet. Looking at past work is always exciting because it makes me wonder what my work will be like in another 4 years!
