It's here!

I'm now the proud owner of "The Making of Fantastic Mr. Fox"! It's a beautiful object, designed by Pentegram. It's filled with interviews, sketches, storyboard panels, and puppets. It calls attention to the extreme detail that Wes Anderson put into making this film: Mr.Fox's desk is modeled after a photo of Roald Dahls, right down to balls of aluminum foil that Dahl wold make out of chocolate wrappers! Little tributes like that are made throughout the book, referencing past illustrators of the book and Dahl's life. The book without it's jacket is a ribbed ochre paper, undoubtably a reference to Mr.Fox's yellow corduroy jacket that is his signature uniform in the movie. A lovely, subtle design choice. This book is dense with inspiration images and information, and I'm quite pleased to add it to my collection of inspirational books! This would make a great addition to anyone's collection who is a fan of puppets, stop motion, Wes Anderson, or mischievous animals who just want their share of the cider.
